Tennessee Rush Soccer Club and WTFC Kickers are proud to announce that they are joining forces
effective in the Fall, 2008 season. This exciting soccer club, officially to be called Tennessee Rush Soccer
Club, brings together the exciting legacy of the oldest soccer club in Memphis, the Kickers, and the most
successful national youth soccer affiliation “The Rush”. This unification immediately makes the Tennessee
Rush one of the most powerful clubs in the Southeastern United States. It will provide unlimited
opportunity for all levels of soccer players in the Memphis and surrounding area. The commitment to
player development will continue to be the focus as over 30 players from the teams represented are
current Olympic Development players. Names of teams within the club will recognize the legacies of both
programs (Kickers, Nike, and Swoosh).

The Memphis Kickers were formed by Sepp Huber of Munich, Germany in 1973. It is from these roots,
combined with the strong heritage of the West Tennessee Futbol Club Dragons and Rangers that provide
the heritage of soccer in Memphis, Tennessee. WTFC teams have enjoyed numerous state titles and
produced some of the best players the state has to offer. Many players from the WTFC club are playing in
college or even professionally today.

The Tennessee Rush Soccer Club was formed 2 years ago in 2006, and has achieved amazing growth and
success. With only two years of results the Club has already produced multiple State Champions and has
dominated many Regional Events. With branches in Memphis and Jackson the Tennessee Rush has been
able to expand the exciting “Rush Way” to include all of West Tennessee.

Rush Soccer began as the Colorado Rush in 1997 and over the past decade has achieved a level of
success unparalleled in the history of American youth soccer. Since 2003, 20 clubs from across the United
States have partnered with Rush. Each of these clubs is determined to reach the same lofty standards as
the founding club. Rush Soccer expects and demands of its partners the utmost in professionalism,
sportsmanship, and success. The Rush offers a comprehensive and progressive training program for the
serious soccer athlete. The “Rush Way” has produced dozens of collegiate, professional and national team
players over the last decade. Soccer America recently ranked the Rush Soccer Organizations in the top
twenty of all youth soccer organizations in the nation!

The “Rush Way” is a proven method of developing players to their absolute highest potential. Top athletes
from all across the region will be brought together to play for Rush Premier teams. Players will be
prepared for the highest level the sport has to offer – ODP state teams, regional teams, national teams,
college teams, professional teams, etc. Our staff and the Rush program will provide the necessary tools to
give our players the best soccer experience in Tennessee!
